A letter from LGH Foundation Board Member Heather Buckley was also included with your ornament sticker. Christmas is a time of reflection, and for Heather, it’s been quite a year.
Tania Batten, a long-time North Vancouver resident, is no stranger to Lions Gate Hospital (LGH). In fact, she’s experienced LGH as a volunteer in the emergency department (ED), as a patient and as a family member (her husband and dad were both treated at LGH). And, as fate would have it, she recently paid a visit to the ED once again, only this time as a patient.
It’s amazing how much money you can spend in a year without even noticing it. Most of us think nothing of plunking down a toonie (or two) each day for a coffee. If you do the math, you could be spending more than $700 a year on your morning eye-opener, but you scarcely feel it because the daily outlay is so small.
From the day he and his wife moved to the North Shore from their native Iran some 34 years ago, Soroosh Kasravi has been a staunch supporter of Lions Gate Hospital.
