HOpe on a Grand Scale

  • April 8, 2017
    7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Thank you to all who attended HOpe on a Grand Scale, it was a huge success! The North Shore BC Registered Music Teachers’ Association was able to raise over $24,000 to support and expand music therapy for patients in the Carlile Youth Concurrent Disorders Centre. With music therapy, patients can have access to musical instruments, recording equipment and a music therapist. Music Therapy can help meet the emotional and social needs of individuals as well as promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and foster self-expression.

The BC Registered Music Teachers on the North Shore have been working with families and teaching children in the community for decades. While they focus on providing superior music education and performance opportunities for their students, they also encourage students to participate in community events and use their developing talents.
