Lions Gate Hospital Foundation raises close to $1 million each year through two signature events; our Gala and our Golf Classic. In addition, many events held throughout the year by third party organizations support the Foundation’s efforts. Note these dates and plan to get involved! 12th Annual Wine and Culinary Gala
Lions Gate Hospital Foundation's 12th Annual Wine and Culinary Gala presented by Goldcorp will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier in North Vancouver. The evening will include a multi-course B.C. inspired menu paired with wines, a silent and live auction of rare and valuable wines and unique culinary experiences as well as live entertainment. Last year our gala raised more than $1M and marked our most successful event to date!
This is an exciting time for our community as we are currently completing a $25M campaign to build the new, state-of-the-art HOpe Centre, which will house an inpatient psychiatry department and outpatient community programs as well as the UBC Medical Education Centre. We hope to reach our campaign goal the night of the gala and celebrate with community members and donors alike.

16th Annual Golf Classic
Our 16th Annual Golf Classic will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Capilano Golf & Country Club in West Vancouver. Last year with 144 players in attendance and the generosity of our donors and sponsors, the tournament was able to raise over $380,000 towards the Foundation's $25M campaign to build the new HOpe Centre. The tournament's reputation as a first-class event hosted at an outstanding venue attracts members of our medical staff, business and community leaders, and golf enthusiasts alike. Each year the tournament sells out quickly as participants see it as an opportunity not only to enjoy the acclaimed Capilano Golf Course but also, to support Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.
