Bob and his family have lived on the North Shore for more than 36 years. Bob's children and grandchildren were born at Lions Gate Hospital. Bob and his wife, Brenda live in West Vancouver. Together, they share a love of sailing, skiing and travel. Bob also enjoys golf. Bob is retired after a successful career in the financial services industry, with particular emphasis on investment management.

Bob worked with Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management Limited as a portfolio manager and a managing partner of the Private Client Division. Over the years Bob has been an active volunteer and board member in numerous community organizations including Ecotrust Canada, North Shore Community Resources Society and the West Vancouver Arts Centre Trust (Kay Meek Centre). Presently, Bob chairs Lions Gate Hospital Foundation's Planned Giving Committee.
