Dr. David Williscroft, Director

David has been a full time Emergency Medicine Physician since 2005, at Lions Gate Hospital.
He is a graduate of the University of B.C. Medical School and completed his emergency training at Vancouver’s St. Paul’s Hospital. While completing his Bachelor of Science degree at UBC, he was captain of the Varsity Basketball Team. Still involved with UBC, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and is the Discipline Site Leader for Residents in the Emergency Department at LGH.
David was born in Vancouver and was raised in Steveston, B.C. He and his wife Cathy are busy having fun raising three young kids under the age of 6. When not at work or at home, he can be found in a body of water somewhere. Additional interests in medicine include Critical Care, Palliative Care in the Emergency setting, and International Aid where, in 2011, he completed a relief trip to Bernard Mevs Hospital in Port au Prince, Haiti.
