Carmen is a Past Chair of Foundation Board, former Chair of the Planned Giving Committee and former Chair of the Governance Committee.  In recognition of her outstanding contribution during her term, she was named an Honorary Director in 2009.  Carmen is a senior partner with Bull Housser & Tupper and leads the firm’s Trusts and Estates Group. She has practiced with the firm for many years and has distinguished herself in the areas of estate planning, estate administration and the use of trusts for business and other special purposes.  Carmen has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada as a leading lawyer in the area of Trusts and Estates (2006 through 2010) and has achieved a Martindale-Hubbell “AV Preeminent” rating – a testament to the fact that her peers rank her at the highest level of professional excellence.  She has also been appointed Queen’s Counsel by the Attorney General of British Columbia.
